This tour is about the medieval Romania, from the first capital of Wallachia in Targoviste to the Prejmer Fortified Church built by the Teutons in Transylvania, and to the city of Brasov, the regional capital of the Transylvanian Saxons of the Burzenland and a large commercial hub on the trade roads between East and West. Princely Court
About one hour far from Bucharest, The Royal Court in Targoviste was the former capital of Wallachia, built by Count Dracula's father and grandfather.

Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle)
From Targoviste, after crossing the mountains through the Rucar - Bran Pass considered to have " some of the most spectacular natural views in Romania, looking over the Bucegi Mountains" we arrive at the famous Bran Castle, commonly known outside Transylvania, as Dracula's Castle, built on the ruins of a wooden castle build by the Teutons in 1212.

Peasant Fortified Church at Prejmer
After Bran Castle, the road takes us to Prejmer Fortified Church, one of the biggest fortified churches in Transylvania and the best preserved by its kind in Eastern Europe, built by the Teutons and the Saxons in the Middle Ages and UNESCO World Heritage.

Brasov
And the last stop and visit, the city of Brasov, one of the seven fortified towns built by the Saxons in Transylvania, notable in the Middle Ages for being the regional capital of the Transylvanian Saxons of the Burzenland and a large commercial hub on the trade roads between East and West.
From Brasov and 2,5 - 3 hrs drive we are back in Bucharest.
